What languages do you speak?

English and Spanish.

Are you based in Playa del Carmen or Puerto Adventuras?

We are based in Puerto Aventuras since the fishing is so much better all year around and is only 15 minutes away from Playa del Carmen.

Is the spearfishing from shore or boat?

All the spearfishing trips are from a boat.

How long does the spearfishing trip last?

4 hours for half day and 8 hours for full day.

Do I need to bring my own equipment?

Is not necessary since we provide you everything but if you like to bring it is not a problem.

How much is the deposit to secure my booking?

With only 10% of the total amount you can book your trip.

What forms of payment do you accept to pay the deposit?

Paypal or Credit Card using our online booking system.

What is the refund policy?

*Cancellations with 48hrs. In advance 100% money back.
*Due to bad weather 100% money back (if the port is close by the authorities)
*Cancellations with 24hrs. In advance 50% money back.

What forms of payment do you accept to pay the balance?

Cash: US dollars, Euros and Mexican Pesos (best option to not pay extra fees or taxes)

What is the minimum amount of People needed to run an expedition?

We need a minimum of 2 People (1 hunter at least) in order to run the expedition.

What can I do if I am only 1 Hunter?

You can still place a reservation and as soon as we find another hunter to share the boat with we will confirm the trip. ( your deposit is 100% refundable in this case ) but we are very flexible and depends on the conditions we can always work something out!! or you can book a solo trip.

Where and at what time do we meet?

At Puerto Aventura’s Marina or the main gate by arrangement. 30 minutes before your expedition time. (see the map to locate our location).

Is transportation from my hotel to the meeting point included?

Transportation is not included but after the trip we can call a taxi for you and they come to pick you up at our location.

What is the min. age to participate?

The minimum age is 13 years old.

Do I need any experience to do spearfishing?

Not really, our guides are experts with beginners. 60% of our clients are beginners, we go to many shallow spots where you will start your training and from there we will take you to deeper reefs. The first spots are about 20 ft. On the way to the spearfishing area we will brief you and share with you our free diving and hunting techniques that you will apply and improve right away so you can start catching your own fish.

All you need is to know how to snorkel, be comfortable in the water and a lot of good attitude!!

Is the Blue Water Spearfishing recommended for a newbie?

Even that is not dangerous if you are a newbie we recommend to take a “half a day spearfishing regular trip” and if you feel comfortable then you can upgrade to a “full blue water hunting trip”.

Do you need to be scuba certified to spearfish?

Not at all.

What to do if we catch a fish?

We clean it for you to take back to your hotel (you must ask to your hotel if you are allow to do it) or there is a restaurant we trust is called “Caleta Restaurant” who cook it for you in different and very delicious ways ($15 usd fee apply).
